The June Calendar features Gangteng Monastery in Gangtey, Wangdiphodrang, which overlooks the glacial valley of Phobjikha. The monastery, first built by the grandson of Terton Pema Lingpa in the 17th century, is the most important Centre of the Peling Tradition. The picturesque valley of Phobjikha is known for being home to the endangered black-necked cranes in winter.
With this calendar, we offer our prayers and wishes for Her Majesty The Gyaltsuen, for Her Majesty’s Birth Anniversary on June 4th.
